Winter solstice circle on Tuesday at 8pm
Here's a wee primer and your Zoom link ahead of our circle
[post edited to include Zoom recording, links to readings and journalling questions at the bottom of the post]
Hi friends,
I’m excited to gather with The Wheel community for our winter solstice circle on Tuesday, the last circle of this calendar year. Want more info on my seasonal circles? Read more here. Below is some information on the winter solstice/Yule for anyone who’d like to read ahead before we meet. In our circle we’ll use the darkness of this time of year for a jumping off point, exploring our own relationship with darkness and the dark as a transformative place. I can’t wait to gather and create a seasonal pause together.
The night after on Wednesday at 7.30pm, I’ll be gathering with my All Fours crew, , and for our third discussion through a midlife lens, this time on RAGE. We promise to bring a festive flavour to our fury! We’d love you to join us, festive tipple in hand - here’s the Zoom link for the rage chat, passcode 084758.
When I prepare for each seasonal circle I’m running, I look my notes and slides for the last session, a month and a half previous. It feels surprising that only 6 weeks have passed: the pumpkins and ghoulish masks of Samhain/Halloween feel eons away, now that we’re in the era of fairy lights and Pfeffernüsse and Christmas playlists on repeat in the supermarket. Did time fly for our ancestors too, or did it tick on more slowly, without constant distractions and endless activity?
