There is always so much to pause over and consider and take into life from your writing, and I always find myself with new perspectives. I love your reflections on what makes you a better yoga teacher, on connection and on being ourselves when we write. About as far as it gets from being totally shit (!), you’re one of the most interesting writers I’ve found here and one whose pieces I always look forward to reading. Thanks for sharing your insights and being such a generous reader too xx
generous words that mean a lot, thank you so much Sasha. so glad you enjoyed the reflections. here's to lots more reading and writing on here next year xx
This is such a beautiful way to show up here, thank you for putting it into words. I love this space because we can make it whatever we want it to be. Looking forward to reading more in 2025 xx
“Kind hands reaching back in the dark” just made me well up. Thank you for this beautiful piece and the reflections which feel at the same time both universal and so individual. Feeling lucky to be dipping my toe in this world and to be connecting with so many cool, welcoming women. Happy, peaceful and bright Christmas x
Beautiful reflections on this leg of the life and SS journey, Chloe. I love what you say about hands reaching out to one another and I have so much gratitude for the way we've connected this past year. I'm more certain than ever that this place means connection for me. Yes, there are people who follow or subscribe to our publications for all manner of reasons and not everyone is here for community which is totally fine. I think, though, there's such rich potential in vibing off one another in all manner of ways.
I also wanted to reflect on the way you talk about being more yourself than you might have been in the past, or elsewhere. I feel that so strongly too, and am sure it must be an age thing to an extent. It's a leveller, for sure. We are all just putting one foot in front of the other. Really, all of us. Wishing you a peaceful, restorative and creative festive break, my friend.xx
love this Lindsay, thank you, SS connection feels so old-school internet to me, in the best way! putting one foot in front of the other, all together. a delight to have connected with you this year, I've learnt so much from watching your generous interaction with others. hope your festive break is all those things too, what more could we want eh xx
I sometimes feel overwhelmed with the amount of people I know who have started a Substack, I can’t afford to subscribe to everyone and so I try and curate who I follow but sometimes feel guilty that I can’t support everyone. I loved that you offered the women’s circle alongside your writing as it felt like a real world connection and something my soul needed, so I was very happy and grateful to be able to subscribe for such a low price. You are like a mindfulness magazine and a community in one.
thanks so much Rachel, I love this description! very happy to have you here. definitely know the overwhelm of feeling like I need to read the whole internet before I go to bed!
Your words are always so heartfelt and warming. I also see myself as a 'Jack of All Trades' and wholeheartedly agree with the communities of gorgeous, compassionate and brilliant women on here. I love your phrase 'a hand in the dark' which is what we all need sometimes. Looking forward to reading your next offerings and pleased to have connected here x
